It was served buffet style in small covered building with netting to keep the bugs out. ![]() The pictures taken by the tour group here (they are sly about it!) were our favorite as there were a lot of action shots that we would not have been able to get of ourselves otherwise. It was nice to be able to have a few turns jumping into the water, and once snorkeling in the water, there were ample fish to observe and Joe added a fun element where he encouraged our group to look for certain types of fish as a challenge. ![]() ![]() The second location with the zip line and cliff jump (approx 20 feet) into a cenote/lagoon was really fun. The underground cenote was our favorite part as the water was very refreshing (it's cold at first, but you get used to it very quickly), the experience was unique, the photo opportunities were nice, and if any part of the journey could have been extended, this would have been our preference. Joe was excellent at providing context to what we were going to be seeing, and presented it in an engaging style that allowed you to be present for the experience in a mindful way. The bathrooms were VERY clean, snacks were perfect (cookies, bananas, water, juice, coffee), and there were shaded hammocks and table seating. We made a quickstep for the bathroom and refreshments at the main office for Aventuras Mayas. Once we were picked up from our hotel, we were given expectations on the day (including realistic timelines for travel on the main road where there was heavy traffic due to a sinkhole). We had a great experience with Joe Aranda as our guide and Carlos as our driver.
